Recording.org is not selling gear to make a killing off of anyone.
The mission here is to give the best possible price for both Canada,
and
the USA without breaking
MSRP
rules or de valuing products listed.
Any dealer selling
below the prices listed here on recording.org, to the best of our
knowledge... not posting the current MSRP prices or... breaking
MFSRP rules.
The Pro Shop is not here to compete with any other pro audio
dealer, or, to act like we are bigger or better than the rest.
Recording.org has earned the right to be along side the rest, and
simply only wants
to
offer members excellent gear, at a fair prices while, if all
possible... avoiding all the politics that goes on in business. It is
paramount the manufacturer and
members have total confidence when anyone purchases any product from
this Pro
Shop.
The Pro Shop is not offering 24 hour phone service, then adding more on
top because we talked to you. Therefore, members are able to get the
best
possible price because of this, and, able to buy it "fresh" off the
assembly
line. If anyone has any questions relating to a product or recording
music in general...
the
answers are all in our huge knowledge based Pro Audio
Forums...
The Bottom Line:
Recording.org has no OVERHEAD. No building costs, no office
space,
phone lines, commission based salesmans and... Sam to clean the office
at the end of the day... The Pro Shop is slick and cutting edge that
passes on the savings to our members. You can buy gear
24/7/365 days a year and save plenty enough cash to buy something more
from the savings...
Need help? Pro Audio
Forums
Everyone here has the ability to ask, free of charge... real
users questions and get true "from the sreet" facts and testimonials
via the Pro Audio
Forums . From high end acoustic treatment questions to basic DAW
setups... its all in there if you look.
You can learn more from online forums
than from any sales guy sitting at any desk charging extra for that
service. For most people, and for this type of product... it makes no
sense to
pay extra money for a service you don't really need to pay extra for.
If you have any questions on any particular piece of gear, use the fourm
search function, post the question, hang out, wait and read, read
and read... its worth the savings and these forums
help you learn while you wait for an answer. There are hundreds of
thousands of topics,
and thousands of members here everyday that will help if they can.
We're all here to learn about recording music.
By the time you are ready to buy a piece of gear...you should know what
you want.
Recording.org is true blue, street wise, NO BS and online 24 hours a
day.
Products:
The Pro Shop is adding new lines as we speak. If the Pro Audio Shop is
missing a product that you would like to purchase, lets us know, it may
be a pro audio product we sell but not online yet.. You are welcome to
ask where you can buy things on
the forums if
you don't see it here.

Announcements: SPL congratulates five clients on ten Grammy productions and eleven nominations |
| Niederkruechten, Germany, 23/02/07 – At this year‘s 49th Grammy Awards,
the Dixie Chicks (five Grammys
for “Not Ready To Make Nice“) and the Red
Hot Chili Peppers (four Grammys for “Stadium Arcadium“) rocked
the show.
SPL clients lent their production skills to both of these albums in
addition to further Grammy winning and nominated projects: Richard
Dodd, Ryan Hewitt, Mark Linett, Darcy Proper, and Andrew Mendelson.
Richard Dodd, a true SPL fan,
was engineer and mixer for the Dixie Chicks‘ “Not Ready To Make Nice“.
“The Transient Designer is one of the only pieces that I cannot do a
session without ... I must have it in the room everytime I work on a
project.“
Ryan Hewitt and Mark Linett (Beach Boys) were the
engineers and mixers on “Stadium Arcadium“, and both are Transient
Designer fans, too.
Ryan Hewitt: “The Transient Designer has changed my working life. I've
owned my TD for about 5 years, and I absolutely cannot work without it.
The drum sounds on the new Red Hot Chili Peppers are all about
Transient Designers. Kick, snare and toms all had TDs on the inserts to
make the drums really cut through the mix. Nothing else can achieve the
kind of clarity that the TD can. Sometimes I can go for one in lieu of
an EQ! I've also had great success on piano, guitars, bass and
percussion ... Needless to say, they rock my world! Thanks for making
such a kick-ass product!“
Darcy Proper (formerly Sony
Mastering, New York, now Galaxy Studios, Belgium) was the surround
mastering engineer for “Morph the Cat“ from Donald Fagen, which won the
Grammy for the best Surround Sound Album. Darcy Proper works with SPL‘s
MMC1 console and a set of three PQ 2050 Mastering EQs in the Galaxy
Studios.
“When I was still in the US, I visited Bob Ludwig and he showed me the
SPL console. I was very impressed by its sound. Upon my wish Sony
ordered the smaller versions in stereo and surround configurations (DMC
and MMC2 consoles). And when I arrived here at the Galaxy Studios, I
was very pleased to be working on the MMC1 mastering console.“
Andrew Mendelson of Georgetown
Masters in Nashville had eleven of his recent projects nominated for a
Grammy in this year‘s event alone. Andrew is an owner of the SPL
MasterBay 2 routing system and the new Passeq, a unique EQ with 144
passive coil filters and 120 V make-up gain stages.

Announcements: Voxformer multi functional vocal channel strip plug-in in PC VST format |
| Aleksey writes:
Version 1.6 of Voxformer is now available. Voxformer is a multi-functional
vocal channel strip plug-in in PC VST format. Combining several professional
quality processing modules, Voxformer was designed to be a comprehensive
solution for all your vocal processing needs - be it spoken or sung vocals.
This version features several minor issue fixes. It also features an
extended frequency selection range for the Presence module: it has been
extended down to 100 Hz. This allows to use 'presence' technique in the
lower frequency range. This--in turn--usually allows to boost overall body
of the voice - especially if it sounds weaker than desired. Check out the
"More Body To Voice" preset for the demonstration of this approach.
Voxengo Voxformer features:
* Two built-in vocal compressors
* Switchable crossover (2 types)
* Gain reduction meters
* 4-band equalizer
* Real-time FFT spectrum analyzer
* Asymmetric compression
* Vintage saturation module
* De-esser module (2 types)
* Presence boosting module
* Noise gate module
* High quality mode
* "A-to-B" comparisons
* Mono-to-Stereo, Stereo-to-Stereo processing
* Any sample rate is supported
* Factory presets
* 64-bit internal precision
* Native assembler DSP code
Voxformer is available on-line for USD 59.95. For more information and
downloads please visit the Voxengo web site: http://www.voxengo.com

Announcements: JB Sound Announces Dealership with Groove Tubes Pro Audio |
| jbsound writes:
JB Sound Announces Dealership with Groove Tubes
JB Sound, LLC has
finalized their dealership with Groove Tubes, LLC. JB Sound will stock
and sell products from their professional audio line, including the Vipre,
the Glory
Comp, and the Brick.
Orders will begin shipping May 9, 2005.
Groove Tubes made a splash in 2001 with their introduction of
the Vipre,
the Variable Impedance Tube Microphone Preamp. This unit was the culmination
of years of research and design, and is quite possibly the best tube preamplifier
on the market today. The recently released "Brick"
has received similar praise, both for its versatility and its great price.
It contains much of the same technology used in the Vipre but is packaged
to be equally at home in the studio or on the stage, and is priced under
$400. Their next masterpiece is the Glory
Comp, an all-tube compressor that is predicted to be another huge hit
with recording studios and engineers. It employs the use of 7 high-quality
vacuum tubes, a custom wound transformer, built-in EQ, and much more. Aspen
Pittman, founder of Groove Tubes, states that he spared no expense to build
what he calls the "best tube compressor ever made."
JB
Sound will provide substantial discounts for all "pre-orders" on the
new Glory
Comp. They also plan to offer several package deals that will include
free gear with the purchase of either a Glory
Comp or a Vipre.
Note:
JB Sound
is set to appear on http://www.groovetubes.com/
within the next several weeks.
