All in all, this is only my bitter opinion, but I feel strongly about it so take this with a grain of salt.

Why is pro tools the industry standard? Really? What a total bunch of BS. Did you get sucked into the HD money pit like thousand of HD users? I was there too, and should have listened to the older generation. But I didn't. Which is okay, I learned something from it.

(I'm not talking about the low end PT entry level)

Lets ask this question ...

I've tried to get used to using keyboards for creating drum tracks and I can't stand how slow and lame it is and feels. I have excellent sounds, but the whole keyboard midi drum creation sucks to me. I am by no means a novice at programming. I earned a serious living in the 80's programming drums using an MPC 60's. I have almost 20,000 hours into midi music programming.
