Such power, such Grace. The ADL-600 has it all! Sweet, sweet voice, full body, good looks, rock-solid
construction, and the list goes on. Just like a woman. She just needs a little electricity and she'll lavish her affections upon you. But not you, of course, rather, me. 'Cause I'm the one who loves her most.

I need this creature! I need this wonderful, voluptuous preamp! I need her breath! I need her color! I need her vitality! I need her...wait...my doctor says I should stop now.

So, if this preamp were mine, it would be used to improve the quality of my recordings; to make my acoustic guitar sing like a bird; to make my electric guitars scream like a demon. And I could make my own voice not shatter glass any more, maybe my voice will even rise to the level of passable!

So many things I could do with this. The ADL-600 allows for a variety of hookups, from basic Mic-in to Direct-Inject instrument-in, to overall mix polishing. MIX POLISHING! Oh my Gawd! Just run the whole mix through it and make it that much better!

And, there is the added bonus of being a member here at Recording.Org. I know I can count on the good people here to advise me on how to get the most out of this wonderful preamp. And they can count on me to blog about my experiences with the ADL-600, including me posting music that uses it with complete tech details about the experience.

And now, I swear upon my sacred honor, my loyalty and devotion to Her Majesty, the ADL-600, for which I make the following pledge:

If I win this contest, I promise to:

1. Do all in my power to make good music that people will actually want to listen to and enjoy for decades to come and avoid the crass commercialism that plagues modern music.

2. I will be more humble in my attitude and demeanor, to allow me to...

3. Soak up as much information as possible about improving the quality of my products, be they for me, for clients, or for the entire world.

4. Help others in their quest for sonic perfection to the limit my meager skills will allow.

5. Spread the good word about how wonderful the ADL600 is and why everyone should buy one.

6. Spread the word about Recording.Org so that others may come here and learn while generating page hits and other things that will help support this wonderful place we have here.

7. Eat fewer French Fries.

You know, I love her so much, I wrote a song about her. You can listen to it at one of the following links. They all play the same song, I just wanted to make sure that the song could be heard so that everyone will know that my love for the ADL-600 is boundless and endless. The lyrics for the song are after the links:

This was recorded live in John Todd's bedroom with a cast of onedreds. The accordion is a real Mellotron! OK, it's just samples, but it's from the MTron1.44 collection. All instruments and vox performed by me. That's 3 lead vox and 24 vox in the choir – no additives or preservatives. That's 96 tracks of my handclaps – no artificial ingredients. That's two days of not being able to play my guitar, too. No added painkillers. All recording, mixing, and mastering by me, too. Hope you like it!

Lyrics:

Ode to a Sweet One, The ADL-600.

A great preamp from PreSonus
With a big fat bonus:
Tons of tone on it's own,
And circuits by Demaria.

Makes the sound,
Makes the world go round,
Lots of headroom too.
That classic sound,
Of yesterday
updated for tommara (yee-ha!)

Chorus:
Rockin' metal, punk or jazz,
Country western too,
An amp that leaves the others dusted,
broken, smashed and busted.

Solid state ain't worth the wait,
computers chips are bad,
The ADL-600 makes
the sweetest sound you've ever had.

Top of the line,
hear it shine,
crystal clear and clean.
Crank it up and throw it down
and it grins real mean!

Chorus:
Rockin' metal, punk or jazz,
Country western too,
An amp that leaves the others dusted,
the ADL-600!!
I just wanna say I always wanna play through my ADL-600!!!

Thank you for your time and attention. Please vote for me.

I'd be interested in a mix critique of this song. It sounds great here in the studio, but is it transportable?

So, of all my entries, which one do you folks think I should officially enter into the contest?

I just love a hoedown hootenanny... Even if I am from Detroit. Of course, I really don't know what a hoedown hootenanny is? And this not only had a live sound it had that fabulous Choral surround. That's what grabbed me when you, you and yourself, along with yourself and those other selves came along I had to self examine my decision and then agree with myself and my other self to come up with mine & my decision. I'm still whirling like a dervish.
