Hi,

honestly, I dunno what I will explain about PreSonus ADL600. I am not technical guy who can explain spells pronouncement on ADL600. I am a song writer who only had a piece of paper, a pen, laptop, recording interface and microphone in front of me. what I need to become good song writer, I need a heart, ear and a hand. heart is inside, it's a personality, passion and dream. ear is a gateway to land of music. the last one is hand, it is a human part to hold tools. all those part are working in harmony.

The tool can be a pen, microphone, recording interface, etc. the presonus ADL600 is also a tool. I have being always search and upgrade my tools, always looking a way, how i could make a good song... searching from forum to forum, youtube and review... searching informations about AD conversion, opamp, word clock and preamp. then I found a link on this forum, presonus ADL600 video review from soundpure. the sound is pretty amazing, I dunno how it can deliver bold, wide and detail sound. I need this tool because I am working mainly with acoustic and microphone as a song writer, and this presonus ADL600 is working so well on that!!! So I was wrote a song to participate on this giveaway contest. I hope, I could win the presonus ADL600 ( Golden Pen ) in my hand.

Golden Pen In My Hand
Lyric:
Make your song and get started
It was already began
I wish.. I Could bring ADL600 with me

Oh my God hope I'm winning
And put it in my mind
Let's create the music and sing a song to the world

I have dream
Dreaming got a golden pen in my hand
Dreaming bring the summer to your land
Hope it's true
Hope I could be good song writer
Could I......
Bring golden pen to my hand

This song, this blog and this presonus ADL600 is my hope, passion and dream in my way become a song writer. win or lose it doesn't matter. but if I could win, I think I can archive something which is never been reach before. a quality of my music

Thank you for reading this blog and listening my song. I hope you like it.

Cheers,
Learn2Fly

Quite an interesting discussion. I am an electrical engineer and music producer, and I have trained ears. After downloading the HD version, I do not hear any differences. Theorectically, Learn2Fly's version should be better than the HD version (if he generate a wave file with 24 bit and 96kHz) because he use the original perfect analog signal during recording while ti_ta is re-recording a sampled digital signal. Even if ti_ta's DAC is perfect, Learn2Fly's sampling of an original signal should still be better than ti_ta's re-sampling of a sampled signal. Also, no one should hear any differences besides ti_ta since only he has the claimed simplied DAC. The rest of us are listening to the re-sampled file using our own DAC's and should not hear any differences. If ti_ta is researching on a better DAC, this may not be a valid test or experiment in my opinion. Please educate me if I am wrong. Trying to learn something from you guys, thanks.

In my version, I still can hear the empty space between vocal and guitar. what I am try to archive is full, wide and open sound even only guitar and vocal. try to add some effect like delay or reverb or even space imanging manipulation (plugin's from cubase SX)... still cannot blended so well... still can hear the empty space... but when I hear the ti_ta's version, this empty space become disepear a little bit (I dunno If I am become subjective or not since for all my process I am only using headphone to do mixing and listening).
Is it a way to blend the mix become more full, wide and open sound? is that process call with MASTERING PROCESS?

    Hi arznable,
Thank you for participating in the discussion. I understand your reasoning: From the theoretical point of view you're right. Theoretically, the signal can target is not better than the source signal.
    I do not say otherwise.
But, My goal is to demonstrate the inadequacy of 99.9% DAC in 44khz/16bit. I talk about information loss during decoding. We lose the information of the amplitude, duration and phase. OK, this may not be a valid test or experiment in my opinion also. Ideally we should listen to the song in a studio direct from DAC.
Nevertheless, there is a difference between music a subtle difference I grant you. I hear this difference by the habit of listening. I prefer to offer you to listen a bit more complex above.

The human brain is a computer a computer but the computer complex. And like any computer it is programmable. If you said: it can not be any difference you would find none. If instead you said perhaps there is something ... You'd be surprised.

But why bother with all this subtlety called you. Today with modern technology we can do anything with sound. And it does it very well.
The answer is simple: There are about ten years it is enough to spend 1000$ and bought a vinyl record , good turntable & a good amplifier, hi-fi speakers and you're thrown into a world of the stage almost like you were there in Live .

Today everything has changed. Henceforth, your are required to spend 10 000$ look 100,000$ to find see the same listening quality in digital sound. You find it normal?

How do you think the public appreciates the musical work if it fails to listen to in full?

Rock band like "Pink Floyd" we paid the price. Since Introducton CD sales of their albom were plummeting. There had not more "magic" into the CD unlike vinyl. And I do not even talk to MP3 ....
