I think it would interesting (and encouraging) for budding (or already sprouted) songwriters to see how the process works for some of us. Hoping to win this mighty preamp to replace my Vintech x73 that I sold last summer. Since I got rid of it (rent) I have had to go back to using the pres of my Digi001. Now that I can actually tell the difference, this (as you would imagine) has made my recordings sound ...er shall we say...less than desirable. Not only that, but my poor Mytek convertor and DBX160xt are just sitting there with no preamp to hang out with.

As I have already learned as much about recording from this site ...

It's about time us songwriters can show our stuff to the RE's and ME's! I may not be able to tell the difference between solid state or solid ice, but I CAN write :-)

I am hopeful to win the contest because then I won't have to lie around recording.org anymore and hide the fact that I STILL use my digi001.
