Pretty nice sample of a Jaguar. I had one of those back when I was in high school in the early 70's, loved it. I have to question the price on it, though, because it didn't move on e-Bay. In these tough economic times, vintage guitars are not moving at the same prices that they were a few years ago. The Japanese and Germans are the big buyers these days, and they are perusing e-Bay for deals on vintage guitars. And, of course , there are the local guitar dealers trying to inflate the prices of guitars like that for very self-serving purposes. Good luck to ya...and try the classifieds in Vintage Guitar!
I will NEVER do a gig where they offer camel rides again!

I agree-items that are amazing are not selling as fast as they used to! Thing is...No one marks down a lamborghini...they go down in price, but not that much..Ive had the guitar aprsd and it aprsd for more then what I paid for it...Now being that it is a true original 65, with pre cbs parts, and neck is in amazing shape,...its really worth twice what appraises for in terms of being one of the great guitars that vintage collector go for! Im trying to be reasonable, but I cant drop the price to 500$...the guys that have 65 Fender jag's on ebay for under 2 grand are(not true 65 jags) People will switch out parts and re-finish paint jobs- change out the neck..change out to older kulson tuners... once you start subing out parts..its no longer the original vintage guitar that everyone lusts after...Im a bass player, and im trying to not convert back to guitar playing, otherwise, this would be a sweet guitar! Or to just keep locked up in a collection...

Not to nit-pick, but if you're truly looking to impress the "complete, original, vintage" crowd, its best to know exactly what to look for....one thing is this....the tuners are Kluson, not Kulsons. A reputable dealer will see that and the wondering begins from there. Just saying if this is how you want to approach a sale like this, you should have ALL the details down to a science. Those that deal in these things require it to even give something a second look. Good luck.

I didn't want to rub it in, but DD is on the money. Collectors will jump on the smallest of details and not only question your knowledge and integrity, but use that as a price lever. Good luck!

I figured as much.....however.....the point stands as written. In selling a 'vintage' item and trading on its originality, the dealers and major buyers of such things pay extreme attention to such details and even a 'typo' can put off any such qualified customers without them even inquiring about the piece. I have traded in these things for years and have owned 'several' desirable pieces. Its not us that needs to chill its our suggestion that you pay strict attention to details when offering a vintage piece for sale and especially at an inflated price. Things being what they are right now in the collectible guitar world.
