Interesting article along with your page. Never knew this about the the boost in the Focal's Adams etc.. The RM2 look like pretty decent monitors. I'm curious what you next ones will be? $10,000 are where I'm going with my next. I'm thinking about the O500 C.

There are a few different monitors still I have to get in a room together, see which one neutralizes me. For me, when I can A/B monitors in the same environment the differences become so apparent. I find I can easily perceive the 'screen' the more distorted monitor imparts on the material.

I really like that they aligned the domes of all the drivers on the o500. That will help create that uniform group delay across usable bandwidth. I like that they minimized the source of the problem rather than correcting time alignment solely with FIR.

For example take a woofer and a midrange driver and if the difference in distance to the listener is on average 1.5 inches between the two, that will create a .1 millisecond delay between the two arriving at the listener:

Have you gotten a chance to hear the o500? I've spent a lot of time mixing in front of the o300's. Could you draw a comparison between the two?

Re O500 C : No, I haven't heard them yet. Still many months away before they are next in line. But they are in the top 3 for what I am thinking about.
