    Default RAMSA 8-Buss desk...for F R E E ! ! ! !

That's right, folks, no bull, Moonbaby has got to be crazy ! This is a RAMSA WRT820 console-a big boy- complete with the optional meter bridge (20 LED bar graphs and TEN illuminated VU meters). This board is currently in a climate-controlled storage unit (under a heavy dust cover) in Jacksonville, Florida. It is sitting on a large desk that I bought to hold it and the desk is part of the deal, too. Bottom line is that I need to get it out of here!
I bought the board 2 years ago with the plans to use it as the front end of my Alesis HR24 recorder rig. Unfortunately, I have been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and this is the end. Recording is now out of the question.I need SOMEONE to get this great piece of gear out of here...asap...PLEASE.

    Some stats:
This board has (20) channels, arranged in 4-channel modules. Each channel has a discrete balanced transformerless mic pre/ w. Mic/Line/Tape input selector; a 3-band ALL SWEPT EQ with concentric controls; an inline tape monitor mix configuration that lets you select the mic, the tape (well, you know...), or post fade operation; a couple of Aux sends; an insert, ALPS 100mm fader, and more. Kind of like a Mackie 8-Buss on steroids. The board was made back in the late 80's/ early 90's when analog was still king. The headroom on this mother is unreal, and there are plenty of guzintoz and guzoutaz to make you happy. Google it.... As far as I know, everything is operational on this; I bought it from a post house that went belly-up 2 years ago and I checked everything out at that time, no issues.
    The small print:
You MUST come to Jacksonville Florida with a van that can carry this board and the desk. I will not let the desk be left for me to dispose of. No whiners, the board is too damned good for that. Ask Davedog..
PM me and I'll fill you in. And remember that Florida is the place to come this time of year!
    Thanks

Wow, I'm so sorry to learn this Moon. Not a happy read at all. I would love to have this ( I love Ramsa) but too far to drive indeed. Coming there to meet you would be enough though.

    Big hug.

Moon, this is really bothering me. Please don't give up here. Don't get rid of your links to what your dream is all about. This is the time for your best work NOW! This is the time to call your inner power and use it to heal. God man! Do not bail now. Not yet. Miracles can happen. People can heal themselves. Start writing music.

    This is unacceptable right now.

Moon...my deepest sympathies. I hope there's a positive outcome for you and yours.
If you are really serious about getting rid of the board and desk (which it sounds like you are), I will be down in that 'neck of the woods' this weekend and would consider coming by. Do you happen to have pictures or dimensions that you could share? I need to make sure that my car could accommodate accordingly.

PM me if you have a chance so we can work out the details.

    Best,
    Shack

    Thanks, Bigtree:
I am NOT giving up on my music, just redirecting my plans from a remote rig to something more manageable in my residence where I can pursue my composition projects. Thanks to all who have sent their support and concern!

A seriously good sounding console kiddies. Big old school heavy....real voltages floating around in there with warm bigness you can only get with good components. They always coulda used more aux's but if you're tracking to Pro Tools or other DAW and you want to do whole drumkits then this beast is a wonderful front end. Extremely patchable and the EQ is all about musicality. This is a direct competitor, back in the day, of now infamous Yamaha PM1000 mic pres. Not quite as many transformers in the path but enough to get it right. LOTS of headroom. Peg the meters, enjoy the warmth......

If I had a van I'd be down there in a minute to visit and I'd be selling my Ghost to someone and reduce my footprint a little bit.....but only a little bit.!!! And they look cool!

Hey Moon. Not great news. I wish I could come over there just to say I did and to meet you in person. Cancer is in my family and I've been losing them because of it. Never the less, don't stop doing what you love. If you can at all help it, keep writing at the least. I don't like to talk religion on line, I don't think it's appropriate but our prayers are with you. I know that cancer can be beat so just keep fighting.

Hey moonbaby, I can't believe my eyes here.... You may not remember me, but you gave me a lot of advice early in my browsing of these boards. Even if your time on this earth is limited, I hope you go out doing what you love most!
