I suggest Acoustic Mirror, and Waves rverb as well.
can anyone tell me which is the best reverb plug in for vocals...i have been using TC native reverb mostly
I suggest Acoustic Mirror, and Waves rverb as well.
The waves IR-1 convolution verb rocks but it is a processor hog.
IR1 is amazing but is almost unusable for more than one plug, in stereo. Altiverb is the convolution king but they don't make a PC version yet :cry: The waves stuff is pretty nice I prefer Renaissance Reverberator (sounds more like a kitchen appliance). I just started using some UAD stuff and the Realverb Pro is pretty good as well.
To summarize;
If you have a Mac - try the Altiverb
If you have powerful PC and only want to use it once in a mix - go with the IR1
After that I would consider Realverb Pro (UAD Plug) and or the Renaissance Reverberator (Waves)
I would recommend the UAD plate140.
A mic and a recorder- what other gear do you need?
I can get 4 full IR-1's to run at once on my G5 Dual 1.8 with 2 gigs ram on Pro Tools, more if I go to the 2 channel or the low cpu setting. Really really rocks.Originally Posted by Digger
