Default How fast is i-Mac G5 Core Duo 2.0?

I am looking into the Intel i-Macs now since G5s are difficult to carry around. How fast should I expect the Intel i-Mac to run compared to the 2.0 G5 Dual Core Powermacs (for music applications, of course :-) )?

Well there was a comparison thread at http://www.osxaudio.com but they are currently transforming into the Big Blue Lounge!

The screenshots show that the Macbook core duo, has performance that is close to the dual core G5 towers using Logic Pro 7.2, and internal audio.

You might also want to take a look at the new Core Duo Mini, about the same performance.

We should start to see more benchmarks as more machines, and apps come online.
