    Default Wavelab 4.0

    So what's the scoop on Wavelab 4.0? I understand it will have WDM drivers so I can actually monitor through my Layla/24 at 24 bits! (Joy!).

    Any word on release date? (March?) Update cost? ($99US?) New features?

    Hey Opus, you were are NAMM...did you get a peek at Wavelab 4???

    Yes, Wavelab 4.0 looked and sounded awesome!! I cant wait to get my copy of it!! Free of course!! lol!! I love the perks of my work!!
    Yes, the upgrade will be $99 and it's supposed to available as of now. The rep said around the 28th of January but I'm not sure if that still stands or not.
    The real time FFT, Denoiser, the Montage feature and many more cool features make it look really ****ing cool!!!
    I will let you know when i get my copy on how it truly is...and yes Asio, WDM and real 24bit acceptance is the key there!!!

    Just spoke with a Steinberg rep and he says they dont have it in yet...but looking towards the wnd of this month/beginning of March!! Boo hoo!! I want my copy now dammit!! lmao!! I guess patience is the best thing right now

    Hey Opus...What's the scoop here? Got any updates for us? I am ready to order Wavelab 4.0, but want to make sure it is really shipping and that I am not put on some 3 month waiting list!

    I guess I could check out the Wavelab forum over at the Steinberg site and see what the word is...

    Just checked the Wavelab forum on the Steinberug site, and it does indeed look like it is already released...lots of people talking about version 4.0c. I'm gonna go ahead and order the update from the Steinberg site on Monday (payday). It will probably take 2 weeks to get here!

    Yeah...cool beans!! I put my order in for Wavelab, VST Warp, HALion and the GRM Tools Vol one and 2...
    I just got Sample Tank and T-Racks24bit(actually it's 32bit float point!!) and all the samples I could ever imagine for Sample Tank!!!
    Cant wait for Wavelab 4 tho!!!

    God damn is Wavelab 4 cool as shit!!! Nice interface..nice design...overall performance is niec indeed!! But...here's some problems I've noticed so far...you cant use WDM drivers..it wont allow you to record!! Also a very important possible discovery is that UV22 and UV22HR are switched!! So if you want to use the new UV22 you set the mode to Uv22 and not UV22HR!!! Oh boy!! You can see it by recording a digital black signal into Wavelab than applying UV22 and looking at the FFT Analyzer..you'll see the UV22 with a higher peak in the high end and UV22HR with a lower peak in teh high end..that means it's swapped!! Hard to explain but thats' the god honest truth!!
    Otherwise..Still playing around with it and trying to grasp all the cool ass new features it has!!!

    I can believe that Steinberg QC is less than perfect, no problem, but I can't believe that they would let something as big as not being able to record with the WDM drivers slip through un-noticed. They can't be that bad!!! (Can they??? :o ) So I have to wait a week or so before I get to join this "public beta" program that Steinberg calls Wavelab 4.0!!!
