Looking for advice on improving my cue mix situation.
My set up: (short version)
Cubase 5.1
O1V (adat card)
2408mk1
I monitor through Cubase to the O1V
My problem:
Here goes.
Since the O1V doesn't have a cue system incorporated, anything I track without the O1V won't appear at the headphone jack.
(I frequently track over the 12 channels provided by the O1V or use other pre's to the 2408 when out of O1V space)
What I have been doing is this.
From Cubase I use a buss (or two) to the 2408 main out to a small headphone amp. This set up has many problems. Mainly level adjustments (i don't have independant control) and the long cable run to the headphone amp initiating with a Y cord. :(
(I use my home, much to the chagrin of my wife and children, to track to my control room on the 2nd floor.)
This has been a sore point that I really need to solve. Any suggestions are much appreciated besides get a new board which isn't in the budget right now.
