What Mic Should I Build ...???

So after my query in another thread, it would seem that I'm sitting on (not literally of course [img]graemlins/.gif[/img] ) a very clean, good condition Neumann M7 capsule. I would like to put it to good use so I'm asking for your opinions. What do you think I should make??

I was thinking of making a M251 but I'm open to influence.

Made one, beats my CK12-versions.

I have a Gefell M7. Is the Gefell the same as the neumann?

Do you have any Gefells at Feedback, Jakob? I like the look of the phantompowered tube mic. Gorgeous! Not many Gefells in my area though..

..naa, no Gefell's in our cupboards, I think. But we have a couple in for repair - and it seems that Gefell are VERY protective about selling spare parts..

I've made extensive use of a pair of UM70's over the years. They are very cool for a lot of various things. Would I go out of my way to buy some ... no. Unless I came across some that were inexpensive, I don't see myself buying any. Oh, these mic's I had were early ones I believe from the '70's which are, as usual, not the same as the current mic's being made.
