I've seen this site advertising called http://www.emasters.co.uk thinking about trying has anybody used it? or how good they are?

I don't know them... have they done all that stuff? Bowie and Simply Red?

I think that the site is a little pink, what do you think?
But then again some might say that mine is too red? :lol:

What attracts you on their site? the e-mastering thing? prices? or maybe the pictures?

If you knew your history you would know that in the 60'ties commercialism was just getting started and all the side effects we know of today had not really begun at the time.

Early Beatles recordings sound the way they do because they actually used some of the best equipment at the time.

My note about the speakers and cables was also a joke you know? I put laughing smileys after my comments... but now i see that they don't laugh anymore, maybe you should fix that kurt?

i think u'll find that they used the original EMI desk which has very musical eq on it (primarily designed to centre on freqencies common to orchestral instruments such as violins, violas etc). With regards to outboard i would guess they would have used pultecs and fairchilds or something equivalent...but tis only a guess!
They also had a strict rule of only mastering up to 0db otherwise you were out.....how things have changed eh? Now people are mastering up to ridiculous levels like +14db. I think most mastering engineers nowadays dispare at the loudness they have to achieve for record companies...dynamics has gone out the window.
