I use the Radial J48 for about 95% of my DI stuff and I friggin love it. Both on Bass and on Keys. For keys, it's eminantly clean and huge sounding.
For bass, it's incrediby tight and punchy. If, however, you're looking for huge, thumping bass, it's probably not the best choice, but for tight (jazz or new rock), it's killer!

The Countryman is an industry standard and I've had a pair for about 10-years now. But they don't get used on bass as much since I use either my Evil Twin or ViPre. The Radial is also good as Bob and Cucco says. I've used the tube Aguilar a few times and thought it was pretty good sounding as well.

I like [="http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/DT85/"]Countryman[/]="http://www.sweetwat…"]Countryman[/] for bass, [[url=http://="http://www.sweetwat…"]Radial[/]="http://www.sweetwat…"]Radial[/] for keys, but both sound excellent in general. And I'm not really sure why I prefer them in the particular settings. Maybe I just found the sweet spot quicker and never looked any further. BTW, don't balk at the extra $100 over cheaper DIs. The better models of the cheaper DIs (e.g. Whirlwind) sound OK, but the step up is well worth it.
