I have these two choices of buying Audiophile 2496 or Creative Audigy 2 Platinum Pro(External)...but i dont know which one would be better for recording and making music on my computer. i live in canada, and the price of audiophile is $125, and the price for the creative one is $199 or so. but u get soo much stuff with the creative one(external unit,card and remote control).

so guys tell me, which card would be better?

i defenitely 2nd the audiophile 2496, stunning little card considering the price i say not to be beaten at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

very good sound, very low latency drivers!!!, spdif, 1x midi I/O all you need in a card with that price / performance.

audigy or all the creative stuff are more gamers, listener cards but ain't good for recording....
