Hi can anyone tell me how to get the XLR outputs on my ada8000 to work on my Mackie 1604.
Thanks,

Are you using the ada8000 as a preamp into the 1604 or playng out of it? The xlr's are not direct outs- to use them as direct outs you need to plug an optical cable into the in and out (bridging them essentially) so that it goes in the input, out the converter, in the converter, out the outputs. I have one on the way, so I don;t have one in hand yet, but I have read that enough about it. I'm assuming that is what you were asking.

Optical looped between in and out works, as long as the master sync button is in on the r/h side.

Balanced cable.

XLR to 1/4 tele

pin 1 XLR to shield in cable and sleeve on 1/4
pin 2 XLR to tip
pin 3 XLR to ring

This is the right wiring for both the mackie and behringer

if you were using it as mic pre's for the mackie, I think you might find the mackies inbuilt ones are better, your call though.
