I need help,
I have an AKAI DPS12 digital recorder and supposedly i can link it to my pc with SCSI. Unfortunately its not that easy. I have everything working for the SCSI cable, but when my pc tries to load a driver for the DPS, it always fails. Now, this wouldn't be so bad if I could get some tech assistance from the web, but I cant find jack. Everything on the AKIA website is CD players and blenders.

The manual has almost nothing about it except a pretty drawing on how to plug the SCSI in the back.

The unit came with editing software which I expected to find driver software, but neither I nor the computer can locate it on the CD. I don't know what Im doing wrong.
any advice would help.

I tried to load this on Windows XP and Windows 98.
Im using a SCSI to USB cable, but that sofware was loaded fine, I dont think the cable is the problem. help!

Matthew,

The guy you want to talk with at Akai (USA)is:

Sean Weitzmann

Tel : 818-789-4202

Hours 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Pacific time

Email support : sean@akaipro.com

I believe he is on vacation at the moment, but call the number to see if anyone else can help
you.

Also, there is an Akai users BBS at:

http://pub52.ezboard.com/bdpsworld

It deals mostly with the DPS24 and DPS16, but others there may have solutions.

Don
