The TMP8 has 8 DI inputs.

DI Inputs 1 & 2 are 1Meg Active DI inputs for use with Guitars and synths. These DI inputs are setup so your instrument that is plugged in will be loaded just like when it is plugged into a Fender or Marshall Valve Amp.

DI Inputs 3 to 8 are 2k Passive transformer DI inputs for synths, keyboards and dynamic mics feeding into the input transformers directly.

All DI inputs have the Pad and Phase switches working over them and drive the signal into the audio input transformers. This gives a fatter sound from synths with silky high frequencies. The 2 types of DI inputs can be rearranged on to different channels when ordering a TMP8.
