Hi guys! What are your impressions about the Lexiverb TDM?
I will start using it tomorrow. Is it better than an MPX1, similar to PCM 81?

thanks

Alecio, It seems you are one of the few on this board using Pro Tools (other than 001) and TDM plugs. I feel lonely for you man every time you post something like this. Wish I had a response for you but I live in VST land. Convolution reverb impulses seem to be the wave of the future. Was this plug developed by Lexicon?

Alecio,

If you haven't opened the wrapper on the Lexiverb yet, Don't! You may still be able to return it.

I knew two people who bought the program and hated it. I didn't get to play with a copy, but I heard a few tracks that used it, and I don't see how anyone would like it. I've also heard from Digidesign reps that the Lexiverb plugin is a half-hearted attempt. Lexicon didn't want to jepordize their hardware sales with a software version, so they intentionally limited the quality of this particular program.

Seems Digi reverb competes with Altiverb for Top 1 concerning PT HD plattform. I have been evaluating Lexiverb, TC Megareverb, Reverb One and Tru Verb.
I have never used the PCM 81 but Lexiverb it is much clenaer than the MPX1 and the PCM70. However, I lack some compression, it is hard to describe. The hardware box has soemthing the plugins still miss. MAybe stereo image due to TDM mix?

ACB
the lexicon reverb is in my opinion an embarrasment.
it truly is not as good as the other verbs out there
like altiverb or reverb one. having said that, the very
talented mixer who works with trevor horn who posts
on the duc alot says that he loves it. i guess
everybody has an opinion. as for me though- i like
d-verb in a more contemporary mix because it kinda
sounds like a rev 5 or rev 7 - it kind of has the
early reflections and scrape and grit that i find exciting
in a track. lexverb also has nothing but chamber and
i think plate or room - it really is a joke. i was mixing a classical orch a few weeks ago and tried to match
a lexverb tdm to a lex hardware pcm 91. i couldn't
match it to it - then i tried reverb one and it kicked
bot lexicon asses. waves stuff reverb wise is a joke
too. i feel sorry for anyone who has invested in
a waves 360 bundle for 5.1. it is really bad - even the
l2 for 5.1 is a joke. lose the lex verb IMHO.
also , my altiverb is an h-tdm - it has alowed me to
replace my dsp hungry alternatives and it on took
up a bit of stream management on an HD. i replaced
my dsp theif the DPP-1 with some pitchshift stuff in
the altiverb - it has help me free up at least 2 or 3
dsp chips. i am hoping that sony does a verb for PT.
cheers
