For around $1000 whats the best way to recording reheasal of a 3-4 peice band?

I dont want to get to complex, i just want to hit record and focus on playing.

Ive been thinking of HHB CDR burnit Plus (or Masterlink?) with an NT4 for just a room sound. ( i have a Blue tube Pre.) This seems the best route seeing as i'll have a CD for each rehearsal and I dont get too hung up with mixing multitracks.

Just checking to make sure i havent missed something out there. . Maybe theres a Mutitrack that will provide greater flexibitly for future projects? Id be open to it if it were worthwhile.

thanks in advance.

There are many inexpensive multitrackers available that have at least 4 XLR ins ... and they are very simple to run.

Tascam just released a new 24 track that goes for about 1200 bucks! I'm not sure if it has hit the streets yet ...

A simple 4 track analog or digital pottystudio would also work well for recording reherasals ... a stereo mic, line off the bass and line off the PA (this is known as stereo plus) is a great way to record gigs and rehearsals..
