3 - AT is almost always a safe bet (Though, I would go just a little higher and get the AT 4040 or 4033 (or heck, maybe the 4047). The little extra money spent will MORE than justify itself when yo ... |

Great answers guys!
PT tends to run a little more efficiently on a MAC but the real advantage is no hardware issues. PT written for MAC's is based on 1 OS, 1 Processor & 1 Chipset etc. This lea ... |

I saw the API 3124, but it comes w/ 4 pres at araound $3,500 and I don't want to shell out that much in one setting.
Look again the 3124+ 4 is about $2400. The 3124MB+ 4 is closer to $3200 but ... |

On the cheap huh ? OK if I had to record a band on 8 channels on a budget I'd do this,
2-NT5's or C4's-$350 to $400-Drum OH's
3-SM57's-$300-Snare & Guitar amps
1-D112-$200-Kick

| The odd thing about this price increase is that it only affects the SM-57 and not the rest of the Shure product line. Kinda strange. Maybe they just wanted to bring the 57 price into line with the 58. ... |
