I know I'm chiming in a little late on this but yeah, I've heard the Glory Comp and the sound is huge. It doesn't sound small like a RNC (not to bash the RNC but you know what I mean). The glory com ...

For what you're trying to do this mixer will work. I have no idea how the alesis sounds but that probably doesn't matter. What matters is you can connect it to your computer via firewire and record ...

The CAD M37 can sound pretty cool undervolted like that, although at 24v and less it can fold up on you under higher spl's and the boom of ac guitars. Use the roll-off feature to roll off at 100Hz an ...

If you plug fabulous microphones into crappy consoles, without skills or technique, you get crappy sound.
No Kidding.

Great score BU, $201 is a total bargain. I like Dave's word choice describing the 4033 as "pretty". That;s what it is - pretty. It just has something going on in the high end that's silky and a lit ...

The Digitech GSP 2101 does some very cool tricks. Great for guitars vocals and flutes. Even has a tube in it - can you say "voicing options"?

IMO, the 4033 has silkier high's and a slightly more output in the midrange. That's about it (again, my opinion). But silkier high's are very important with male vocals and very nice to have when re ...

After seeing what kind of stuff you're doing I'd agree with demented on the 4047. Actually you can't lose on anything in the 40 series AT's. The 4047 has a nice tranny for some great colour, the 405 ...

Uh...I'd rather resort to the Rode NT5 SD's before I'd stick those Marshall mics over some drums.
Call me crazy but I think a set of K2's would have a bit better of a result as OH's than with some ... |
