The beginning is really grating. The first notes cut really short and the "honks" are really obtrusive, maybe lower their levels in the mix or make them a little more subtle.

My ProCo has Neutrik connectors as well. I really like the build quality of mine.

I got a 100' ProCo 12x4 snake on ebay for $150 shipped. That's the direction I would head. I'm sure you can find cheaper used snakes on there that fit your needs more.

Poor quality cable, connectors tend to snap off. Search "OSP snake" on google and you'll find a few forums of people talking about their bad quality.

1) I own both the Tascam US-1641 and a presouns firestudio project. The presonus kicks the tascam's ass. I just prefer it for preamps, user interface, firewire, etc.

I don't quite get it either. They're just palm muting but letting a few strings ring out instead of totally deadening them.

Why do you want the mixer? I say, buy a pair of monitors instead of the mixer. Firepods are great. I just picked up a firestudio project and I love it.

Either of these as an interface because they each come with programs that are better than cool edit.
