Try another fw cable, restart the 002 unit and pc.
My bet would be the cable since this has happend to me.
Sometimes i have to restart the 002 to get my pc to regognize it.

You can boot 2 xp on same machine. I did that on my old dell laptop with great success.
You have to format your HD create 2 partitions innstall xp on one of them and then the other. Now you have 2 ... |

maybe it's my headphones but I want louder drums at least a bit more snare. The drums sound good.

I can't belive they are going to try to stop me from making copies of my cd's on my HD. I can't see how I'm breaking the law by keeping a backup of stuff I bought.

Are you recording one mic input to a stereo track in Logic?
That was my first thougt to..
Make sure you are recording to a mono track not stereo. Stereo would playback your track eather hard ... |
