If you never upgraded the firmware in the firepod you will not be able to use two at a time and in some cases your DAW will aslo limit you to only 8 simultaneous channels at a time. I will suggest you ...

I recomend using a cheap preamp for better results not quality. The mike it self going directly into the Ipod or your computer will not do the job. Just a friendly thought.

For studio applications I use an sm57 top and a AT2020 at bottom no compression it all and it sounds sweet. Live I use an sm57 and an I5 bottom with a little compression (ACP88) and sounds good.
