i second Motu for the money very smart stuff and if you can dig a little deeper into your pocket, then RME.

and defenitely don't go for the M-Audio 410, i have heard incredible amounts of problems ...

Motu or even better RME.

depends what you are into, if you need audio only, then probably PT but if you need audio and good midi functions too, then defenitely Logic or DP.
PT is a complete joke when it comes to midi compare ...
