| I would absolutely recommend updating to Audition 2.0. You may find that it already has the proccessor/ effect included with the package. I know for a fact Audition has a pitch corrector. |

I suggest purchasing a good preamp box. I know some people here can make suggestions.
Since you are using this mic for spoken voice, gain requirements will be more.

You don't need a mixer. But you do need a preamp. Mixers include the preamps so you will need a stand alone preamp box.
