All dairy products are considered a bad choice if you intend to sing - avoid them for the day.
Caffeine is also not good as stated above.
Alcohol will only affect your voice in large quantities ... |

If you have $1000 to spend, I would get a 57 AND the e609 - they are both very useful for guitar cabs and some drums but sonically different.
