Just remember to put the SPL meter away before the band comes in or they'll turn it into a Fartometer!  |

I don't have any detailed info about why you shouldn't run an unbalanced signal into it, but I have heard a number of times that it's a major issue with a Distressor and that you shouldn't do it. M ... |

| The only graphic EQ that I like for recording is an API 560. It's affordable, but it's not exactly cheap. |

I am using Lynx2 convertors. I compared these to RME and MOTU and they slayed those two. of course it is still a subtle difference I like a nice, soft and subtle slaying.  |

| Try pulling out a few db at between 800 to 900Hz on the direct signal. It takes a lot of the boxiness away. |

| Don't set your compressor's attack too fast while tracking, because you can't get those transients back later. You can always nip off a little bit of the picking noise later. |
