I have seen SM81's used around the front lip of the stage (assuming that it is raised) and pointing just straight out to the crowd..

In Flames use the Peavey 5150 i believe.. that would be the amp you were thinking of. Or the mesas that have already been mentioned would do you very well.

no idea... but line6 list them as using their products and you can download the settings for line6 amps.. i dont know whether they recorded with the line6's tho...
