piss and moan is significantly better than the newer stuff. Still nothing very memorable in my opinion, but heads and shoulders above the newer tracks. I like the verses a lot, but the choruses don't do anything for me. |

i must tell you ... 4star daydream project has produced over 50 songs in 18 months ... we are recording some of those now ... the thought of leaving a good one behind kills me ... how can we tell which ones to take to the next level? |

Dissapearing Man is not a song you'll want to take with you. The people I've shown it to were very turned off by it. This is a great forum to get an opinion. You might also try the mixmasters mailing list. Just basically get people's opinions of the songs. For your album, include only songs that elicited at least some major positive reactions. "This doesn't suck" is not a compliment, remember Just the ones that resonate deeply with people are the ones to record. I have to kill off some peices I just totally love for my next album. It's heartbreaking but necessary. You can always just play the b-sides at shows =) |
