I have Cubase SX3 on PC with Yamaha 01v96 + i88x on mLAN.
For study also Digi mBox2 with PTLE on vanilla MacBook (C2D).
Not sure who's gonna win I'd like to try Cubase 4 too. It should be quite an improvement.
I will install PTLE on my PC too. The MacBook screen is too small to do a day's work on it. If I really get down with that thing I always connect an extra 17" LCD monitor. |

CoolEdit Pro 2.1
Runs on WinXP. Old box, 2GHz Athlon 2600 XP, 768MB RAM, and a 10 quid soundcard from priceless computing.
But I don't use it for multi-channel recording. I just grab "sentimental" mono mixdowns from concerts the church band does.
Although I will be looking for a bit of recording gear at some point. |

I usually track on SFoundry Vegas 3.0 and mix on Sony Vegas Video 6.0.
It is the most comfortable platform for me.

Sonar 7 PE on a custom built PC w/ XP. I will upgrade to Vista as Microsoft and Cakewalk have been working together since the OS was known as Longhorn to develop 64 bit architecture. |
