The Shure KSM 44 or the MXL V6?
Mainly for vocals and guitar.
It's a toss up? |

One I know and the other I only know from sources.
KSM44 is one of the best all-around mics you can get. Even, honest, uncolored. Some would say 'bland' I think of accurate. Its a mic that allows you to use any kind of pre if you're looking for that pre 'warm-up' tone it'll do that, if you need pristine and clean It'll do that....it has patterns...and it retains its original street value very well.
I like it better on instruments as a whole but it is a very good vocal mic....however this is the place where it might 'lack' for some types of voices...its maybe a bit too honest for some. |
