I am looking for a piece of equipment that will record up to at least
20 tracks on my computer. I see may mixers on the website that have at
least 20 XLR mic inputs. I want a board that will do this and
simultaneously connect to my computer and record the tracks using software.
What do I need in order to get this many inputs(XLR) and this much
simulataneous recording? I am trying to avoid using Pro-Tools but if that is
all that is available let me know. |

I don't know of any interface that has 24 XLRs as its input interface? You may want to look into the MOTU 24i, which has 24 1/4" TRS balanced inputs and a single stereo output for monitoring. It also includes their PCI-based card. Use Adobe Audition or, Sony's Vegas.
