Ok, my band and I have a Korg D16, Nady drum mics with seperate Phantom power unit since Korg D16's don't have any, Boss GT-8 processor pedal, and our instruments. No software, though if we have to we'll get some. What kind of quality are we looking at? We have condenser mics for the vocals. |

For an entry-level system, you are well off. It's not really necessary to have condenser microphones for vocals as SM 58s are quite good for that application. I would rather use the condenser microphones as drum overheads. SM 57/58 for guitar cabinets. DI on keyboards. I'm not completely familiar with the Korg but assume it is an all-in-one mixer/recorder? Does it have a built-in CD cutter? Or are you going to mix down and feed it out to another recorder/CD cutter/computer? If you're going to do that, some decent shareware audio software for your computer would be in order.
I would like to hear your best efforts.
