firebox opinions?

Hi all,

Well I've went through a few interfaces an inspire 1394, had some playback noise from the unbalanced outputs i think, and then got an edirol ua-25 but heard bad things about usb. So now I'm stuck between another firewire interface, or a pci card and mixer combo. I'm looking at the firebox, but heard a lot of things about getting noisy playabck, pops and crackles etc. I am wondering for those of you who have a firebox did you fix your problems with noise or is there defective units?

I own a Firepod, that is almost the same but with 6 more pre's and it is been working awesome, is only 2$$ more for all the 8 pre's, you should give it a try. Cool
