None of these have vocals, I am saving up for a vocal mic. Also, it lets me flesh out the exact arrangements I want.

Any general comments and opinions appreciated![/url]

I really like both of these. The inner-harmonics movements in the arrangements are very cool and exotic, the recordings are quite rich in their total control of the instruments and the overall picture is nice and wide with clarity and depth.

This is excellent. You have the right idea.

Be sure when you do go for that vocal chain that it measures up to what you have set for it.

Thank you for the kind words! I am not worried about the vocal chain, I am worried about the vocals!

Maybe the ukulele is a little bit bright? Actually, I take that back -- it just needs more compression, I think. Probably not your cup of tea though... But really, the ukulele is really loud and bright up on those high notes, so it sounds quiet and mellow when it is down lower. Just my thoughts... The percussion is fine, if not a bit repetive. I think that at 2:28 or so when the percussion is all by itself, that the reverb is a bit much. Maybe the whole track has a lot of reverb now that I'm getting towards the end? But really, you did a good job, I just think there are a few rough edges to iron out. Then again, I don't listen to this sort of music, although, I might listen to your stuff if you sent me a free CD or something.
