I need some help with my new apartment. The bedroom is the only room that I can put my desk, and I don't have that big of an area to work with.
I don't need anything spectacular...just something useable. I have the big KK Audio desk from GC, and I could definitely get something smaller for ease of placement. My girlfriend doesn't mind if we put OC 703 up, but just wants the furniture functional....that is the only request.
Let me know your thoughts on furniture placement for the best results before treating. Then other than corner traps...were you think I should start placing the 703. Right now I'm crammed into a corner with a window behind the monitors. It doesn't sound terrible right now, but the center image kinda sucks, and I haven't tried mixing anything yet since we've moved in.
Any ideas? |

Center the desk, and get the 38% rule going on etc..
If the cabinet next to the desk has to stay there, get a smaller desk so you can center it. Maybe a Jerker from ikea?
The bed, dresser and night table look to be in the best spot they can be, considering the walk area, where the door is located, and the that the dresser is right across from the bed. (Good for watching TV, assuming one is on top there. It not good having to watch tv at an angle; for your eyes and neck.) |
