Some feedback please!

This is still a somewhat rough mix, but I'm not sure what else to really do to it. I have a pretty inexpensive setup, recording to the Echo Layla 24.

For mics I'm using the 6 pack from shure, but using the beta 52 instead of the included kick drum mic.

On vocals and guitars I'm using a cheap Shure AXS 4 I found in a pawn shop awhile ago, I think I got a pretty good sound all things considered. But hey, you be the judge. Smile

Hi, here is my quick feedback.

Good song, nice arrangement, well done.

Its breathing a bit too much, ease off on the compression, bass is lost. I would like the vocal to be a bit more edgy and up front. Most likely the compression issue there. I wanted to hear the harmony louder as well. Get the bass (and kick) heavier under the guitar and you'll have something.

Thanks very much for the feedback. I agree the compression is a little much, so I'll back off on it. I guess I'm just wondering how to get the mix punchy yet not have it 'pulse' like that, or breathe as you call it.
