When these originally came out they had jensen transformers...the newer models do not...how difficult would it be to buy some jensens and mod it? or, put a jensen on one channel and leave the stock tranny in the other for two different sounds? I can get one rather cheaply so putting in a few $$ is no big deal...I am no engineer so these questions may seem pathetic to you tech types

It is a bit of a trick getting the old ones out. The are solder through hole and basically have solder under the transformer where you can not get to. Solder wick worked the best for me.

THe swap out is easy and sounds great. I highly recomend doing both sides.

No other mods needed. I have heard people swap the opamps for BB's but I did not find it needed. This had a sound very simular to an API 312. Not quite as fast but very close non the less.
