Is a room that is good for mastering also good for mixing? I understand that a room good for mixing is not necessarily good for mastering. But if I built a studio for the purpose of mastering, would it also work well for mixing or are there different design requirements for that? I'm not asking what all the design principles are; I'm just asking whether they are different or the same. Thanks.

Sure. A good room is a good room, and the requirements are identical for mixing, mastering, and just plain listening to music at home.
