Music recording schools

This is the first time I've been on this so I hope I am posting this correctly. I am curretnly a sophomore at the University of Hawaii but want to go to a good recording school in California. Is there a good recording comunity college in California?

I am attending IAR in New York right now. Seems pretty decent so far. I am about half way threw. Working on finding an internship position somewhere.
