Just looking for opinions on these 2 products.
Any insight would be appreciated. |

I use guitar rig 1. Haven't use the 2nd one yet. Never used Amplitude. Mightbe hard to find someone that has used both, considering they are in the same genre of software. Guitar Rig is a little noisey for my liking for studio work. Possibly no more noisier than an amp turned up before playing a chord. Its got some awesome flexibility though. I love it cause it saves me having to mic amps and such in my studio. |

I love guitar rig 2. To be honest, Amplitube was never quite giving me what I was looking for in terms of routing flexibility. I've tried all the recent version of Amplitube and just wasn't struck by the sounds.
NI GR2, on the other hand, has a load of convincing pedals, L/R stereo mapping, and a lot of control. I haven't seen IK step up to the plate when it comes to guitar effect plugins.
Amplitube is cute, but I think NI really got it right. |
