Hello,
I am a very recent owner of the RME FF800. I know it works great 'cause I tested on a friend's computer.
Having a problem of compatibility between my PC (growing old I acknowledge it) and this card , I will rebuilt a new PC and I would like to know which are the components which proved reliable on your computers : has to know mainly
The processor
The motherboard
The firewire card
and incidentally the HD.
I specify that I turn under Windows XP sp2 with patch for the firewire and cubase sx 3.
Thank you in advance |

Maybe you want to join the RME newsgroup and ask this question.
Never had a problem with my Fireface 800 on PC (3years now) and Notebook (2 year old Acer with built in Firewire, later with LaCie PCMCIA firewire800 interface and any external firewire or USB HD).
Best regards
Hermann |
