I just installedn Vegas 7 on my x64 AMD and after recording a video with audio and saving it, when I went to render it to the it said I was missing a codec. I think it was mpeg 2 but I can't remember now if that was someother problem.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Go into preferences and under video see what is checked and not checked concerning codecs. I think you may have the wrong things turned off. Vegas is a very robust very easy to use interface but buried under the easy to use interface is a whole lot of things that can get you into trouble very quickly if you do not really know what you are doing.
