Ok, in the seventies I was very interested in consumer audio systems and in the eighties I was mildly interested. Now my main home speakers and 20 years old and my receiver and cd player at least ten. No turntable - don't think I'm going to go that route again. One of these days I'm going to have to upgrade - at least when we get an HD system which we have been putting off. (Yes, living in the stone age.) I don't consider my home system a "critical listening" environment. That kind of money and effort goes downstairs in the studio. I'd like like to buy reasonable quality consumer home audio equipment while spending my real money on recording and musical equipment.
Any advice on stuff to look at?
An advice on places to shop? (Blackburg is the sticks. No serious audio stores. Only a one of the big box stores. A little more if I go into Roanoke. On line would be nice.) |
