1. I had a question about recording from the direct out of an amp, I dont seem to get enough volume , do I have to crank my amp up to get more volume or should I wait until I mix it and bring it up that way?
2. Guitar sounds: I was wondering what is the best way to get the best guitar sounds by micing or direct with preamps. |

What amp direct out into what recorder?
More info, Jubes...more info!
The best sound can be recorded direct. Or mic'ed. Or through a POD. Or a combination.
More info, Jubes...more info!
Complile some info on what you have, what you play, what you WANT it to sound like, and then you may want to think about about re-posting this in the forum further on down the road called "Guitars and Bass".
This is more a technical DAW section. Although a DAW may be involved at the end consideration of your inquiry, you need to find out what's happening to feed it INTO the DAW, and then perhaps revisit if you have followed the good advice of the people who will answer your guitar recording technique questions, and are then having trouble with the DAW.
So, give the folks in there more info so nobody starts off with the same type of response I started with.
