Thread: Roland 1880 vs. Korg 1600

I jused to have a roland 1680 that I was satisfied with, but I just upgraded to a real board and a mackie HD recorder. You should know that you dont have any insert jacks on that one, so you have to use the aux pre to use your outboard gear or just the internal fx cards, and they dont support any gates But if you use it smart you got 4 inserts, a stereo fx send for external and 2 internal card with 4 stereo fx or 8 mono fx depending on the choice of fx. I wasnt that found of the eq inside it, nothing "happened" to the sound. I liked the one on the fx cards better but you dont have that many of them. A very fast working mashine that I can recomend, but I dont know anything about the Korg. Good luck with your choice.
