I just bought a firepod and I'm having some trouble with it. Can I use it as a mixer as well? I hooked up the speakers to the Firepod and the volume was real low. Is it mixed from the computer then sent to the speakers? |

How did you hook it up to the speakers? If you are going through firepod - computer - speakers then it is not solely based off of the firepod. Only way you will get it directly from firepod - speakers is if you plug into the headphones jack. In that case you can turn up the 'phones' knob. If the waveform is coming in low when recording either turn up the main level or turn up the corresponding input knob. |

what kind of "Speakers" are you useing and where are you plugging the speaker into the firepod?
If you are plugging the speakers into the monitor 1/4" plug on the back, you'll need a power amp to drive those speakers as the monitor outputs on the back of the firepod are line level. that is probably why the volume is so low.

I'm not sure what model they are, but the brand is Yamaha. I plugged the speakers into the two Main CR Out ports. I made a crude diagram of what I am trying to achive.
